Vanessa Patterson is a Financial Advisor for New Perspective Financial Solutions and has a passion for helping her clients fulfill their financial futures in retirement and beyond. She listens and asks questions until she has understood and defined her clients’ needs, then tailors her solutions to fit each unique situation. Vanessa attended Mount St. Mary’s University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics, and Georgetown University, where she earned her master’s degree in mathematics and statistics. Vanessa has also been a licensed real estate broker since 2011, a National Social Security Advisor Certificate Holder, and a strong advocate of financial literacy.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys traveling, trying out new restaurants in the D.C. area, and cheering her daughter on at lacrosse games and gymnastics competitions.

Lisa Kim has business, civic, charitable, and community roots and has worked for the interests of all people for years. Lisa is a financial advisor and wealth management relationship manager with New Perspective Financial Solutions.
As a champion for important causes, Lisa understands the value of service and helping others. She is a former three-term legislator from Prince George’s County, Maryland. Her multiple awards and recognitions include the 2016 Senator Chris Van Hollen Citation in recognition of service to senior citizens. Lisa also helped establish the second ethnic meal delivery program in Howard County, Maryland, in conjunction with Meals on Wheels. Lisa also served as the Neighborhood Watch President for an entire municipality and spearheaded and sponsored PTA dues for parents who couldn’t afford them so they could have a voice in their children’s schools and education.
Lisa is a strong advocate for adults and children with special needs, working for 25 years as an advocate and serving as a church leader in the children with special needs ministry. She was chosen as the first non-Asian, non-Korean board member of the 50-year-old organization, the Korean Society of Maryland. Lisa currently serves on the board of an international organization, the Korean-American Grocers Association, and serves as Executive Director for Women’s Funds USA, an organization that serves women entrepreneurs with businesses, funding female economic empowerment. Lisa is also an international liaison for workforce development in the United States and abroad.
Lisa founded the 20-year-old company, DocketMasters, and is a former financial analyst for Lockheed Martin under the Hubble Space Telescope umbrella.
VP of Operations
Tony is a consummate business leader. The son of an information technology pioneer (a co-founder of Telenet), he was raised with an unparalleled work ethic. He’s had every job, from dishwasher to the owner of an IT services and recruiting firm. His industry experience ranges from hospitality, financial services, and technology to entertainment, government contracting, and not-for-profit organizations. Most recently, he’s helped insurance agents develop and grow their retirement planning firms.
Before joining New Perspective, Tony was Chief of Staff at Shirley Luu & Associates, which recently was awarded the Washington Business Journal’s “Fastest Growing Companies” two years in a row. As part of the team with Tayvon, he will assist with operations, events, and clients with their life insurance and annuity needs. He is a licensed life and annuities agent in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.
In his spare time, he is an accomplished poet with a published book, “Enlightenment Through the Fog” and a second book on the way. He also manages a community pool, develops fundraisers for cancer research, provides mentorship to entrepreneurs, and leverages his skills as a trained chef for private events and charities.

She uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard, succeed, and reach their financial goals.
Krista grew up in Washington D.C., and attends the University of Maryland Global Campus, where she is earning her bachelor’s degree in human resources management. Her career ambition is to become a director of operations in the financial sector.
Krista’s free time is spent enjoying her daily 5 a.m. workouts, spending time with her twin sister, and watching true crime documentaries.
